Even Trees Witness The Almighty

Take me where the magnolia trees be

where roots twist into paths

for the wanderer in search of the Almighty.

Take me where silence

is a language of the wise.

They stand, watchful

and unmoved by the currents of life,

firmly planted, unfazed,

a witness to many chapters

and yet masters of none.

Shedding leaves like past lives

when the weight of the world

presses down on its shoulders,

even the wind cannot shake

this kind of faith.

It can withstand the crushing torrents of rain

kissing the earth

a reminder that beautiful things can arise

from the aftermath

of even the most devastating of storms.

A Word From The Author

Today I was reminded that though my heart felt heavy I can still meditate on the ways nature reflects Gods intentionality and grace. I am but a piece of larger tapestry. Even the trees witness the almighty! Bless.
